back window replacement advice

i just bought a 96 miata a week ago. put the top down tonight on my way to get groceries, the back plastic window cracked. maybe its a good thing because it was hard to see through from the sun light.

any suggestions between glass vs plastic?
any recomendations for a shop that can sew in a new window?

Tempered glass with plastic coating protection is much better since they are almost unbreakable.
