My mom passed away last november. She had a 1997 MX-5. It was pretty much standard, but was garage kept, and hardly driven. She was the original owner, and it has only 67,000 miles on it. It is red with a black top. It has never been in an accident. I had to replace the back window due to yellowing and cracking, but the top is in excellent condition. I have checked blue book, Edmunds, etc, and get such a variety of prices for this car. Where can I go to find out what it is really worth? I have three small children, and my wife wants it out of our driveway, but I don't want to just give it away either. Thanks for your help. I am in Hollywood.

Wow misteruke, your late mom's car sounds like a real good vehicle for a Miata enthusiat. You're right about the pricing of these cars. I purchased mine on Ebay three years ago and paid about $3800. It had over 155K on the clock but was fairly well cared for. With the low mileage of yours I would think that asking anywhere from $3 to $3800K would be inline with the market place. Check on craigslist for comps. Good luck with the sale of this great car and let us know how things work out. Ed G, Irvine
