My Miata is a 1994. There are many cheap roll bars available on Ebay. Some have no warranty. These are about $200 cheaper than usual. Has anyone ordered these from Ebay? What brand, price? This is tempting but I want to make sure it fits, works, etc. Thanks!

Hi!
I have a '94 Miata as well, and have looked at roll bars (and other accessories) on Ebay. When it came down to it, I opted for a HardDog bar purchased from Moss Motors. On chrome pieces and other things, buying on Ebay has saved me a couple of bucks. But for my family's piece of mind and my safety, I went with a product I knew would hold up to a roll-over.
Cheers, Deanne

Thanks Dianne. I called them, they have plenty of roll bars. The dilemma I'm finding is that no seems to know WHERE I can have it installed. I don't want to do this myself. I don't get it. I can buy them anywhere but why can't I find someone to install this?? Thanks for your help. KathrynWWQS

Hi Katheryn, Here are two answers from two of our members and what they have to say regarding your question. Here's what they said: _________________________________________________
Ted's reply:
I have put four Hard Dog roll bars in and all installed well. I would not look for the cheapest roll bar, (why scrimp on the thing that can save your life or things to make your car pretty as in style bars ) I got all 4 from terry and Janet Wyric at Raven Wing and am happy with all and feel much safer when driving. Scrimp on the shifter handle or the seat covers but not the roll bar or Tires or brakes. But it is your car and your life. Pay a little more now and save a lot later
Just my two cents worth,

Jim's reply:
It depends on why you want one. If you are thinking about safety, don't scrimp. It's only your head we're talking about. Save a little longer and buy the right one. Not a style bar, a roll bar. If you want a style bar, find the one that has the look your looking for and go for it. Just don't develop a false sense of security, they're worthless.
A final thought. The benefit of the more expensive units is that they work, they fit and loads of the club members have installed them and can help you out.
Jim
