I am preparing to upgrade the suspension on my ’90 (the car has about 65,000 mile). I have already picked up a set of AGX shocks, FCM bump stops and a set of universal dust boots from Summit. I plan to use the original springs so my question is: Is there anything else I need to pickup before taking the car to the shop for installation?
Thanks in advance!

buy some spring compressors from harbor freight and do it yourself. i did mine 30k ago and its time to replace. i have the racing beat lowering springs on mine. I will buy the shock tower extender for the rear next time. you will save on labor and the satisfaction of doing it yourself. miata.net has step by step how to guide. good luck.

Hi
I just changed out my shocks for illuminas on Father's day using the Harbor Freight compressor. Make sure to lubricate the threaded shafts before you use them. I had all kinds of problems with mine. This was suggested by a member of the miata.net forum. Best of luck

I like doing my own work when I can but I had the shocks done by a shop. Too much work for me!
